This is an approximately 5 minute lesson on Sampling Methods. It contains information on probability (including random, stratified, systematic, and random cluster sampling) and nonprobability (including convenience, purposive, expert, and snowball sampling) sampling and examples of each. One set of examples specifically reference the instructor’s own research. However, no specific background on this is necessary. It is appropriate for a Research Methods or Experimental Psychology course.
